Email updates and subscriber data

Use the unsubscribe link in any Flared update email. You do not need to log in. This stops future updates and removes your email address from the active subscription record. It does not delete your app account or cancel Premium.

For access, correction or deletion of subscriber information, email hello@flared.cloud from the subscribed address. We may verify control of that address. We aim to respond within 30 days. Limited consent and withdrawal evidence is retained as explained in the Privacy Policy.

Step 1

Send your request

Email hello@flared.cloud with the subject “Flared data deletion request”.

Include the email address connected to your account. If Facebook did not provide an email address, include your name and say that you used Facebook Login. Do not email medical documents or identity documents unless we specifically request a limited item to verify the account.

Step 2

We verify the account

We may ask for limited additional information if the request does not clearly identify the account. We will use it only to verify the request and prevent someone else from deleting your information.

Step 3

We close access and remove active data

After verification, we aim to close your account and remove account profile data, saved Support Circle details, user-entered health and wellbeing Entries, Flares, Summaries, appointment preparation, cycle settings, optional profile picture and related app records from active Flared product systems within 30 days. Where applicable, we will also cancel an active Flared subscription.

Information that may remain

We may retain limited billing, security, dispute or health records where law requires or permits it. If New South Wales health-record retention requirements apply to Flared, health information collected when a person is 16 or 17 may need to be kept until they turn 25. Health information collected from other users may need to be kept for at least seven years from the last relevant service. We may ask for the minimum age information needed to calculate a legally required retention period. We will restrict retained information to the required purpose, tell you what we kept and why where permitted, and delete or de-identify it when the retention period ends.

Deleted information may remain in encrypted disaster-recovery backups for up to 35 days before ageing out. It is not available through the ordinary product. If a backup is restored, the verified deletion must be reapplied.

Copies shared outside Flared

Deleting your account cannot recall emails, text messages, downloaded Summaries, screenshots or other copies that you or a recipient saved outside Flared.

Confirmation

We will confirm when active-system deletion is complete and explain any information retained, the reason and the expected retention period where the law allows us to do so.
